MLK Day Event

Please join us on Monday, January 18th for a community event honoring the life, work, and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. More details to come!

  • Wear Red and Black
  • Bring flowers & care package items for Black leaders & families.
  • Bring signs
  • We will have de-escalators/peacekeepers.
  • If you join us, please respect the requests of the organizers or you will be asked to leave.

***Requests for White Folks***
Please show up ready to listen to Black, Indigenous & People of Color. Help form a circle with BIPOC at the center. Beyond this action, white folks need to support organizing more white folks against white supremacy. We ask you to commit to organizing other white people off the fence and into action with Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and People of Color-led movements & strategies.

Brought to you by
Justice for Yvonne McDonald
BLAST (Black Leaders in Action and Solidarity Thurston)
Olympia SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice).
